History

Established in 1980 as a response to the need of higher learning, research and study in the fields of Youth Pastoral Ministry, Catechetics and Social Communication, Visvadeep offers various types of courses in order to cater to a large section of priests, religious and lay persons. Though juridically independent as a canonically erected community since 1993, academically it is part of the Kristu Jyoti College, aggregated to the Faculty of Theology of the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome. The Centre is well equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, library, electronic equipment, etc., to provide a high standard of both theoretical and practical training.

§ To empower the students to share the incarnate love of God by carrying the gospel to the young through an appealing educational process in faith education and youth ministry
§ To promote the formation of a Youth Pastoral and Catechetical mentality

§ Provides for the human and spiritual formation of the participants through community living
