Agneyam 2017, the Vocation Camp in Kerala region commenced on 2nd May at Don Bosco Bhavan, Mannuthy under the guidance and able leadership of the vocation promoter Rev. Fr. Saju Puthussery. The Camp was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Mathew Kapplikunnel, the Rector, who spoke about Don Bosco and the gift of Salesain vocation during the inaugural ceremony. Rev. Fr. Saju Puthussery rendered the welcome speech and Fr. Biju Kalapurackal delivered the felicitation speech.

We were indeed happy to have 60 dynamic young candidates to attend the vocation camp from all over Kerala. The camp was filled with multifarious activities to enable the candidates to understand the Salesian System of education and life. The candidates had classes on Salesiana, well animated liturgical celebrations, Rosary procession, Adoration services, Prayer Service for Fr. Tom, Spiritual movies etc. to motivate the young minds to understand better the call to Salesian way of life. The camp also opened a venue for the boys to exhibit their talents and abilities through various programmes like Bosco Cultural Extravaganza, Bosco-Marian Nite, Literary Bonanza, Mega Quiz, etc. The camp also included much more multifarious entertainments like Family Fun Fair, Night Olympics, Treasure Hunt, Picnic, Campfire, etc. The campers were taken on a visit to the nearby Salesian houses to have the first-hand experience of Salesian work. The camp had its fine conclusion on the 13th May 2017.

Agneyam was really a nice experience. It helped me to know more about Salesian life and feel the love Fathers, Brothers and Camp mates.
I enjoyed the vocation camp very much.
