When an appeal was made to gather funds from the province of Bangalore for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, the Salesians of BOSCO, Bangalore appealed to their staff and students. They came forward with wonderful ideas. Most of the staff generously donated money. The children did not have money. So they came up with many suggestions, some of which, though impractical, manifest their generosity. One of the ways they enthusiastically had recourse to was to walk 8 kilometres instead of taking the bus when they had to go for a function. In the picture is seen the children handing over the money to Fr. Geo (Director of BOSCO Mane and Financial Administrator) to be forwarded to the provincial house.
