In the first session, held at 09.00 a.m., Fr Provincial spoke of the role of Salesian administrators as Responsible Management in a Spirit of Solidarity. He further elaborated that according to GC 26, responsible management entailed Witness, Solidarity and Responsibility. He called for a change of mentality in Salesian Administration.
The Second Session of the Day was on Principles of Juvenile Justice Act, presented by Ms Arlene Manoharan (Fellow and Co-ordinator of the Centre for Child and the Law and Programme Head – Juvenile Justice- National Law School of India University, Bangalore). Her knowledge both of the subject matter and of the Salesian context of apostolate made her presentation pertinent.
The Third session was dedicated to sharing of information and clarification of doubts with regard to matters relevant to administration in the communities. Request was made to have basic training for new administrators. The participants appreciated much the Two Day Programme, both for its organization as well as for the content.
