Laudato Si’ is the longest of all papal encyclicals. In Laudato Si’, Pope Francis provides us with the inspiration and moral compass for a global conversation on the future of our common home. It covers a wide range of issues spanning from climate change to creation theology and from favelas to coral reefs. The present volume is a modest attempt to gather together in a more accessible package the main themes of the ground-breaking encyclical of Pope Francis. This is done in terms of the “ten green commandments” for the care of our common home. These green commandments themselves follow the main outline of the six chapters of the encyclical and are arranged according to the scheme of the See-Judge-Act methodology increasingly used in social sciences.

"Perhaps the most important insight in "Laudato Si" reaffirmed in Joshtrom's book is the centrality of the personal response to these challenges, and the hope expressed that humanity can, together, seek a new beginning." (From the “Foreword” to the book by Prof. Myles Allen, Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford)
