BOSCO, Bangalore received ‘Outstanding Homelink Node Award’ during the 12th Annual National Seminar of Youth at Risk (YAR) on the Theme ”Restorative Justice and Children” held at Don Bosco Institute, Guwahati on 18th and 19th September 2017. “Through its exceptional implementation, BOSCO, Bangalore proved that the documentation tool can work wonders for an organization and for the cause of the children at risk” remarked the award committee. Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director received the Award on behalf of BOSCO, Bangalore.
BOSCO, Bangalore has been a Node of the Bangalore Hub of Homelink Child MISS (Management Information System and Service) Network, the online documentation tool created by Don Bosco National YaR Forum that enables uniform documentation among Don Bosco YaR centers in India since 2005.
His Excellency, Shri. Ranjit Shekhar Mushahary, former Governor of Meghalaya, Surendra Kumar IPS, IGP, Crime Branch, Assam and Bobita Sharma, former Chairperson, ASFFDC Ltd graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honours respectively. Fr. V. M. Thomas, Provincial, Salesian Province of Guwahati, Fr. Thathi Reddy, YaR National President and Provincial of Hyderabad and over 150 delegates including YaR office bearers and child rights experts were present for the programme.
