The first of the second set of four cluster meetings of the Salesians in practical training and/or college studies was held at Don Bosco, Tumkur on 15th February 2010. 13 brothers from Prakashpalya, Bhadravati, KGF, Chitradurga, Mysore, Summanahalli and Hassan were present. The meeting began at 9.15 a.m. with the words of welcome by Fr. Emmanuel, the Rector of the house and a brief introduction on different activities of the community. Fr. Vice-Provincial animated the brothers in two sessions on the Strenna, stressing on being disciples first and then apostles. The Holy Eucharist was at 12.00 (noon). In the afternoon brothers shared news from their communities after which Fr Vice-provincial dealt on the importance of Salesian Assistance. During the day he also met several brothers individually. It was really an enriching experience for the brothers. They returned to their communities after tea.

The Second Session of the Cluster Meeting of the Brothers was held on February 21st at Don Bosco College of Education, Yadagiri. It was attended by six brothers from the communities of Hospet, Deodurga, Chitradurga and Yadagiri. With the 13 who attended the first session in Tumkur, the attendance of the brothers in Karnataka has been 100%. The brothers joined the local parish community for the Sunday Mass. The meeting for the brothers began with the words of introduction and welcome by Fr Sunny, the Rector. In the sessions that followed, Fr Vice-Provincial dealt chiefly on the Strenna of the year, with its practical consequences for the brothers. Brothers found time also for a personal chat with the Vice-Provincial.

The next sessions are scheduled for Chullikara (Feb 26) and Angamaly (Feb 28).
