Don Bosco Institutions in Chithradurga are the first to introduce digital teaching in class rooms in Chithradurga district and in the province (Bangalore). LCD projectors and computer systems and well organized study material software (comprising of the entire syllabus of all classes) were successfully installed. Training was given to all the teachers and smart classes commenced on 11, June 2010.
At present 15 class rooms and two language labs have these facilities. The management hopes to install the smart class facility in all the class rooms progressively.
“The learning has become fun and enjoyable. I don’t get distracted in the class,” says Swathi (Class IX student).
“With video – audio animation I am able understand the lessons better,” was the comment of Tejas (Class VIII).
“I enjoy teaching with digital aid. Children pay better attention” – Mrs Anitha.
Teachers and students as well as the parents are very appreciative of this new venture and thanked the management in providing such facilities.

Environment day in Don Bosco Chithradurga

The Scouts and Guides of Don Bosco Schools participated in the District Level Centenary of Scouts and Guides and Environment Day Organized by the District Scouts and Guides Unit on June 12, 2010 in Chithradurga.
The students of Don Bosco ICSE School observed the World Environment Day 0n 5, June 2010 in the school premises by planting saplings. The students assured that they will do their best in protecting Mother Earth.

Reopening of LKG-UKG in Don Bosco Chitradurga

The little tots of Don Bosco Institutions, Chithradurga had the reopening of their school (LKG-UKG) on 7, June 2010. Fr Santhosh sdb, the Principal of Don Bosco State School, inaugurated the academic year. It was a feast to the eyes and minds to see our little buddies laughing, playing and crying.
