Don Bosco, Bhadravathi is now shining with 200 students pursuing their studies in various trades. There are over 60 students for ITI (both formal and non-formal) and the rest for courses under MoRD. This year we also began a hostel for boys; at present there are 12 boys in the hostel.
Under the MoRD, there are students pursuing training in three different trades, namely, Tailoring, Computer, and Electrician. The inauguration of the MoRD courses was held at Don Bosco, Bhadravathi on August 12, 2010. Guests of honour for the function included Mr. B.K Mohan, Mr.Veerabadrappa, Mr. Venugopal (Municipal councilors), Edwin D’souza (Manager, SBM), Sr. Lalamma (Superior of Dominican Sisters), Mr. Anjanappa and Mrs. Mary (Social workers). The MoRD students came with a variety of programmes to add colour to the celebration. Fr. Sebastian (Rector) welcomed the gathering. Fr. Lawrence (Principal) presented the project and put forward certain requests before the councilors to cooperate with us to bring greater efficiency in realizing the project. The participants and students were offered a sumptuous meal to mark the day’s celebration.
