The DB Tech Skill Training Programme in Don Bosco Tech, Bidar was officially launched on August 7, 2010 with three trades, namely ITES (Information Technology Enabled Services, Industrial Sewing Machine Operator and Retail Management. The training programme was inaugurated in the presence of various civil and ecclesiastical leaders. Mr. Shameer Shukla (District Commissioner of Bidar), Rev. Fr. Leo Vegas (Vicar General Diocese of Gulberga), Fr. Joy Nedumparambil sdb (Regional Coordinator of DB Tech-MoRD Project), Rev. Fr. Amruth Praveen (Manager, St. Joseph college, Bidar), Mr. Suryakanth (District Rural Development Officer), Mr. Basavaraj (Chief Manager, State Bank of Hyderabad), Mrs Vidyvathi Sidram and Mrs Sugamma Shanthappa (Members of Gram Panchayath) were present for the function.
The Deputy Commissioner praised the initiative of Don Bosco, Bidar to train the rural BPL youth so that their skills are enhanced and they become employable. The Vicar General thanked the Government of India for having chosen DB Tech as a trustworthy partner in reaching out to the lowest strata of the society. The regional coordinator urged the youth to put up their hands and be counted when it comes to relocation for job opportunities.
