Sunday, September 27, 2009 would be marked in red letters in the annals of Don Bosco, Aluva. The Insight India foundation, an NGO working for social welfare, and the Youth Congress joined hands with the youth of Keezhmadu in organizing a free medical camp at the Youth centre. The camp included free blood test and eye check up. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Dhanapalan, MP. Fr. VG Mathew joined the other dignitaries in lighting the lamp during the inaugural function.
Over 300 patients benefited from this medical camp. Over 160 people from all walks of life had their eyes tested. Opticians were present to supply lenses at discount rates. The camp was welcomed wholeheartedly by the people of Keezhmadu. This was another occasion where the Salesians were involved in social welfare activities networking with other organizations.
