“A day in the house of the Lord is better than a thousand else where,” is how BOSCO KIDS spent January 10, 2010 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bangalore reflecting on the ‘call’ that God has given to each of them. It was heartwarming to notice that about sixty Catholic BOSCO KIDS came forward to celebrate the ‘God Calls you’ day. Fr. Gilbert Choondal SDB, in his talk said, “Baptism of the Lord was the turning point in His life and let this day be a ‘turning point’ in your life to do something special for God.” Fr. Anand SDB indicated the different signs of a religious vocation. Fr. Gregory, Principal of Maria Niketan High School (Bangalore) presided over the Eucharistic celebration.

Religious having ‘BOSCO KIDS’ units in their schools came in the afternoon and addressed the children inviting them to join hands with them to continue the mission of the Church and fulfill the apostolic projects, entrusted to their congregations, by God Himself. The fruit of this effort was already seen as some of the KIDS responded positively to join the congregation of their choice, including the Salesian Society. BOSCO KIDS believes in building up the Church by inspiring youngsters to follow the Master more intimately through priestly or consecrated life.
