The Community organized the annual picnic on 12th Feb. 2010, to Talkad, Somanathpur and Bluff (Shivana samudra). We were altogether 83 of us. We began the day by invoking the blessings of God with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Tomy. We proceeded to our destination at 6.30 a.m. We got down on the way to enjoy our breakfast and reached the Bluff at 11.00. Then we moved to Talkad, a place of historical fame, and a pilgrimage centre of Hindus. Since it was the occasion of Shivarathri the place was quite clean and tidy. We visited the 3 temples dedicated to the Lord Shiva and enjoyed some time in the water. While traveling back we visited also the temple at Somanathpura, built by the Hoysala dynasty. We returned to the house around 10.30 pm.
