Don Bosco Yuvakara Grama, a rehabilitation centre for street children who are addicted to drugs and child labourers began on 19th June 1999.

Initially the centre started its work in a rented house for the child labourers, especially those working in the silk twisting units and the bonded labourers of Magadi Taluk. In November 1999 with the support of UNICEF, Child Labour Rehabilitation Centre became functional at Ajjanahalli. In October 2000 the present building was blessed near to Siddedevarabetta State Forest for Don Bosco Yuvakara Grama. NCLP programme was initiated in 2002. Apart from the rehabilitation of the young at risk the community also caters to the needs of 30 villages through vocational training of youth, computer courses and youth empowerment programmes. Don Bosco Ajjanahalli carries out literacy outreach programmes through tuition centres and adoption of two schools in Ajjanahalli and Hospet (Magadi town) to provide quality education.
