History

Don Bosco, Tumkur, was founded in 1997 as an aspirantate for the post-SSLC boys from Karnataka. The new aspirantate is built on a 13 – acre plot, which has a farm land of 8 acres. The construction of the building which commenced in January 1996 was completed and blessed on 21st Oct.1998. In June 2000 a boarding for high school students as proposed by the house and approved by the Provincial and his council was started

Scope
|
The growth of the candidates into well-integrated personalities by fostering their intellectual, emotional, social, physical and cultural maturity and thus helping them to discern their vocation with a view to becoming faithful Salesians and dedicated pastors after the example of Jesus, the Good Shepherd and Don Bosco, our Father and Founder.
· Imparting to the candidates an academic and religious formation in order to help them to qualify themselves at the PUC level and to deepen their knowledge of Christian doctrine and religious life.
