DB Tech Skill Training Project for the employment of Rural BPL Youth was inaugurated at Don Bosco Technical School, Sultan Bathery on July 21, 2010. Numerous dignitaries and students were present on the occasion. After the melodious prayer song rendered by the students, Mr. Vinod (Trainer for Electrical course), introduced and welcomed the dignitaries. The event was graced by Shri O M George (Panchayat President), Mr Babu Abdul Rehman (Panchayat Member), Shri Ramachandran (Block Development Officer), Fr Joy Pulikan SDB (Rector, Don Bosco), Prof. George Abraham (Principal, Don Bosco College), Fr Joe Kokkandathil SDB (Vice-Principal & Administrator) and Fr Antree Kannampuzha SDB (Principal, DB Tech). After lighting the lamp, the dignitaries briefed the students about the significance of the Project and how it contributes to the overall economic development of India in the long run by achieving MDGs (Millenium Development Goals). Shri O M George and Babu Abdul Rehman commended the work done by Don Bosco Tech India and promised their whole-hearted support to the successful completion of the project. Students compeered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
