The community of Don Bosco College Aluva solemnly inaugurated the academic year 2017-2018 on 3rd June 2017 with the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit upon the students and the staff to give one’s best in the academic year. Fr. Joyce Thonikuzhiyil, the provincial of the province of Bangalore was the main celebrant; directing his sermon to the idea of religious vocation he said that everyone must bring changes in the lives of people, imitating our Bl. Mother who overcame all difficulties and remained faithful till the end. Later on we had an official inaugural ceremony with Fr. Provincial as the guest of honor. Fr. Rector officially welcomed the new confreres and wished that everyone experience a home and makes a good beginning. Fr. Principal presented the report of the previous academic year, after which the guest of honor, Fr. Provincial, delivered the keynote address, where he stressed on the importance of Knowledge. He said that the fruits of knowledge go beyond you, they touch you and they touch many others. He also exalted each one to experience, personalize and interiorize the religious vocational values and to become professionals in religious life; professionals who are capable, trustworthy, who fear God and hate dishonesty. With this key note address Fr. Provincial solemnly and officially inaugurated the new academic year 2017-2018 at Don Bocso College, Aluva. The public function concluded with the release of the college handbook.
