Five days of reflection, dialogue, group work, interventions and interactions to review, renew and re-launch – the Provincial Chapter of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore reaches its climax.
Days of intense study and reflection to implement the directives of GC 26 and rejuvenate the province according to the signs of the times saw a fitting conclusion at Kristu Jyoti College (Bangalore) on April 29, 2010. The final day of Chapter XI commenced with an hour long Lectio Divina. The day was set apart for voting upon the deliberations arrived at through the reflection and discussion of the previous days. Declaring Provincial Chapter XI closed, Fr. Thomas Anchukandam, the Provincial, highlighted the need for spiritual renewal, continual updating and pedagogical competence demanded of every Salesian in the fulfillment of Salesian and religious vocation. Offering to the Lord the deliberations and the plans for the future, the members concluded the celebration of the Provincial Chapter with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

The Chapter reflected on the implementation of GC XXVI and chalked out a programme of action to rejuvenate the province according to the signs of the times. The members were unanimous in hailing the Salesian spirit that characterized the Chapter. The unassuming way Rev Fr Varghese Pallipuram, the Moderator, carried out his task was highlighted by the Chapter. The committed and efficient service of the secretaries, Deacon Antony Thekkedath, Bro Jince Kallanickal, and Bro Valavil Shajan Denzil was much appreciated.

During the valedictory function, Fr Provincial released Kannada dubbing of the film, BOSCO, accomplished by Don Bosco, Chitradurga.
