Don Bosco College Aluva, had a solemn celebration of the Pope’s Day, on 29th June 2017. As part of the programme was organized a symposium on the document ‘Proclaim’ published by the Congregation for Religious and an academy in honour of the pope. All the neighboring communities were invited for the same and there were a good number of participants for the function. The resource person for the symposium was Fr. Gilbert Choondal S.D.B, who explained the document in a simple manner and led us into the depth of the document by explaining the effectiveness of the proclamation of kingdom of God in the post-modern world, using various creative methods. Followed by the symposium we had cultural programs performed by novices from Archana convent as well as the students of Don Bosco College. The programs were well prepared and they depicted various Christian values and relevance of papacy in the contemporary world. The academy came to an end with the papal anthem performed by the Don Bosco band.
