The skill training initiative of the Don Bosco Tech Network of India has projects across the country and the unit at Monvila near Trivandrum was launched on 15th July 2010.

The project located in Puthiyathura was inaugurated by Fr. Joy Nedumparambil, the regional coordinator of DB Tech South Project. Fr. Anish, the parish priest of the Puthiyathura church and Sr. Alice FMA, were among the dignitaries and well wishers present for the function. The Salesian sisters at Puthiyathura will conduct the training in computer as part of the Monvila Don Bosco Tech project.

The first batch of trainees who were present for the function were encouraged to make the best of the opportunity and equip themselves for the current job market. The project is hopeful to provide access to many more youth who look forward to take up training from this centre. We are sure that the youth who look forward to the training will get the required opportunity in the months to come.
