The Bosconians of Don Bosco Senior Secondary school, Vaduthala, including all the management, staff, parents and students reach out to the poor as they contributed Rs. 50,000/- to the children of Bosco Nivas, Trivandrum. This initiative was to help the less privileged children of the lower strata. This amount was raised during the last scholastic year, by means of prize coupons, contributions and chance games conducted during the solemn Christmas celebrations of the school. A part of the money raised had been given as scholarship to the poor children of the locality. The money for the work for children on the street in Trivandrum city was handed over to Rev. Fr. Philip Parakkatt, SDB, the Director of Bosco Nivas (Trivandrum), during a special assembly organized on July 17th. During that function Rev. Fr. Devassy Chirackel, SDB, the Principal congratulated the staff and the students for their joined effort to reach out to poor children who are not able to study. After receiving the money, Fr. Philip thanked the students for their generosity and love for the poor.
