Established in 1980 as a response to the need of higher learning, research, and study in the fields of Youth Pastoral Ministry, Catechetics, and Social Communication, Visvadeep offers various types of courses in order to cater to a large section of priests, religious and laypersons. Though juridically independent as a canonically erected community since 1993, academically it is part of the Kristu Jyoti College, aggregated to the Faculty of Theology of the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome. The Centre is well equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, library, electronic equipment, etc., to provide a high standard of both theoretical and practical training.
