World Day against Child Labour was celebrated at Bosco Nilayam, Open Shelter Home for Ran Away & Rescued Children from child labour, at Palluruthy.

The function was inaugurated by Mr. Justin P P, the Station in charge of Kasaba Police Station, Palluruthy. In his inaugural speech, he focused on the need to give more care and attention to the children in their own families especially; parents spending time with their children. The programme presided over by Rev. Fr. Thomas PD, Executive Director & Rector of Don Bosco Sneha Bhavan, Palluruthy. Rev. Fr. Abhilash Palakudiyil, the Director of Bosco Nilayam, welcomed the chief guest, the other dignitaries, staff & children to the gathering. Mr.Samad, the ASI of Police, had given an orientation talk on Child Labour & Child Trafficking. Mr. Sidhrath Nath, the Co ordinator of Bosco Nilayam proposed the vote of thanks. After whcich a half day awareness programme on Child Labour was organized by the KISMAT Team under the leadership of Ms. Neelima Xalxo & Mr. John Sumith, Co ordinators of Ernakulam and Kottayam, (Kerala Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation). Let us hold our hands against Child Labour and Child Trafficking.
