Don Bosco Chitradurga organises Leaders’ Training Programme and Membership Day

Don Bosco Youth Services, Karnataka, with the support and guidance of the Community of Don Bosco Chitradurga, organised a day of training for the leaders along with the Inauguration and Membership Day on July 24, 2022. It was a well-organised program by Chitra Don Bosco under the leadership of Fr. John Paul, the Director of CHITHRA.

In the morning, the training was conducted for the leaders from the social work sector and Don Bosco PU College. Around 80 Youth Leaders from five Taluks of Chitradurga District participated in the Training Programme.

Fr. K.O. Varghese, The Youth Pastoral Delegate of the Province, was present for the programme and also animated the leaders by speaking to them about the importance of personality development in the process of becoming a leader. It was followed by a session animated by Fr. Martin Vijay, the Principal of Don Bosco ICSE School, Chitradurga, who spoke to them about the important qualities that are required of a leader.

It was a well-organised and animated programme. The Youth Leaders benefitted from and enjoyed the programme as it was filled with fun and activities.

We had the Inauguration and Membership Day programme in the afternoon in the presence of all the leaders, Fr. Saji, the Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Chitradurga, Fr. K.O. Varghese, The Youth Pastoral Delegate, Fr. Uday, Youth Director, Fr. John Paul, the Director of CHITHRA, Fr. Martin Vijay, the Principal of Don Bosco ICSE School, Mr. Neelappa, the lay animator for CHITHRA youth group and Miss Sowmya, the lay animator for PU College Youth Group along with elected leaders of Bosco Youth Chitradurga Unit.
