The Salesian presence in Monvila began in 1990. With the intention of developing a technical institute, the construction of the building was initiated in 1996. In May 1999, a stable presence was established and the presence was attached to that of Manacaud. On 8th December 1999, a project for the coaching of school dropouts was inaugurated. Today the community renders its valuable services on behalf of the less fortunate dropouts and orphans, who are sheltered and formed in the Salesian Preventive system and prepares them to become honest and responsible citizens. The Salesians also offer psycho-spiritual help and counseling for those who are shattered and hopeless and open for them a new realm of endless possibilities in life.
