Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad Commemorates Independence Day with Freedom Wall
Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, took forward the legacy of national pride by creating and dedicating a Freedom Wall in honor of all the patriots who led our nation to independence. The Freedom Wall was created on the boundary wall of the Government Ayurveda Hospital, which is in the vicinity of the college campus. The NSS volunteers of the college led this noble mission.
The official dedication of the Freedom Wall was conducted on August 14, 2023, in the presence of district administration authorities, including Bathery Block Panchayat President Sri. T. Asanayar and Medical Officer Sri. Arun Kumar. Don Bosco College Principal, Rev. Dr. Johnson Ponthempilly SDB and Rector Rev. Dr. Antony Thekkedath felicitated the gathering and appreciated the creative efforts of the NSS volunteers. The Freedom Wall has become a point of attraction to the people of Bathery.
NSS Program Officer Mr. Sajith Babu and NSS faculty in charge Ms. Athira TK rendered the vote of thanks. They acknowledged the efforts of the NSS volunteers and the presence of the dignitaries on the occasion.
The Freedom Wall is a beautiful and inspiring tribute to the freedom fighters of India. It is a reminder of the sacrifices that were made to achieve independence, and it is a source of pride for the people of Bathery and Wayanad.
