Don Bosco Schools Principals’ Meet Explores NEP 2020, Sustainable Development, and Future-Ready Skill Initiatives

Don Bosco School Principals’ and Managers’ meet was held on 17 and 18 August, 2024 to explore more avenues for the holistic formation of Bosconians in line with NEP 2020. The meeting was embarked with a field visit to Sara Birla Academy to learn the best practices of the school by observation and interaction with the principal of the school. The participants further reflected on the theme Green Campus: Conservation of Natural Resources for Sustainable Development in Don Bosco Schools.
Rev. PS George, Executive Director of BREADS shared an overall view on SDG 6 and 7. Mr.Benny Augustin, Project Manager of BREADS elaborated upon nuances of implementing the Solar Panels, Bio Gas, Water Recycling, Incinerator and Organic Fertilization.

‘Empowering Future: The Role of Don Bosco Schools in Skilling the Youth of India’ was the major theme of the day. The session was led by Rev. Fr. George Mathew, Exe. Dir. Don Bosco Tech unveiling hidden possibilities in NEP 2020 for empowering the children to be vocationally skilled for tomorrow.
The session was followed by a complimentary topic Endless Empowerment: Hybrid Learning and Skill Initiative by Mr. Ali Sait, CEO Tech Avant Grade and Mr. K V Vincent, Director, Carte Balache.
They opened the door for skill initiatives in Don Bosco Schools in collaboration with industries particularly Microsoft.

The meeting was concluded by the Animation Talk by Rev. Jose Thomas Koyickal SDB Provincial.
