A Splash of Creativity: Introducing Pallet Pals Drawing Competition

The highly anticipated annual Pallet Pals Drawing Competition, a celebrated event organized for many years under the capable leadership of the Youngsters Group, was successfully conducted on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Vaduthala. The competition, aimed at fostering artistic talent among the youth, saw an enthusiastic response with a remarkable 350 children participating from various regions across Kerala. The young artists, aged between 4 and 17, were categorized into four distinct groups to ensure fair competition: the first category included ages 4-7, the second 8-10, the third 11-14, and the fourth comprised those aged 15-17.

A significant highlight of the day was the strong community involvement, as all participants were lovingly accompanied by their parents. In a thoughtful arrangement for the accompanying guardians, a complimentary Medical Camp was organized by Welcare Hospital, offering essential health services to the parents while their children focused on their creative endeavors. The event commenced with a dignified Inaugural Ceremony, graced by key figures from the institution and the organizing group. The dignitaries present included Fr. Gilton, the Director of the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Vaduthala; Fr. Joby, the Administrator; Fr. John, the Animator of the Youngsters Group; Mr. C.J. Anthony, the General Secretary of the Don Bosco Youth Centre; and Mr. Johny, the Joint General Secretary. The day culminated in an exciting Prize Distribution Ceremony where the victorious young artists across the four categories received their awards. The prizes were distributed by the famous Cine Artist, Mia George, whose presence provided immense motivation and inspiration to the children. The success and smooth running of the Pallet Pals competition were generously supported by a dedicated group of sponsors, including Modern Bread, Elite, Rose Food, Welcare Hospital, Red FM, Capital Sanitations, Kriya Yoga Wellness, and Biscon Solutions for Marketing Private Limited.
