Christmas Celebration at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mysore

The Christmas celebration at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mysore, was held on 21 December at 6.45 pm in a spirit of joy, unity, and brotherhood. The Don Bosco community, together with the members of the Youth Centre, came together to celebrate the feast of the birth of Jesus in a meaningful and festive manner.

The programme began with the singing of melodious Christmas carols, which set a prayerful and joyful atmosphere for the evening. This was followed by vibrant cultural performances, including dances and lively music by the band, adding colour and enthusiasm to the celebration. The active participation of the youth brought great energy and cheer to the gathering.

Fr. Rahul, the Dean of Studies, delivered a thoughtful Christmas message, highlighting the true meaning of Christmas—God’s love made visible in the birth of Jesus—and invited everyone to become messengers of peace, joy, and hope in their own lives.

Later, Fr. Freddie, the Rector, extended his warm Christmas wishes to everyone present. He led the symbolic cutting of the Christmas cake, which was joyfully shared with all, strengthening the sense of family and togetherness among the community and the youth.

The evening concluded on a happy note, marked by laughter, fellowship, and shared joy. It was truly a joyful night filled with fun, laughter, and the Christmas spirit, leaving everyone with cherished memories and renewed hearts to celebrate the coming of Christ.
