SPORTS DAY AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH, LOURDUNAGARA

Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Lourdunagara, organized a parish Sports Day on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event brought together parishioners from the 20 active SCC units for a day of fun, fellowship and community building.

For the games, the 20 SCC units were divided into four groups, with five units forming each team. Various games were organized for different age groups, including Passing the Ball, Bombing the City, Tug of War, Volleyball for men and Throwball for women.

Breakfast, refreshments and lunch were served to all participants, making the day an occasion not only for sporting activities but also for sharing and fellowship.

The Sports Day was organized with the aim of strengthening unity and family spirit among parishioners, while providing them an opportunity to relax, enjoy one another’s company and build stronger relationships across the SCC units.

The enthusiasm and participation of the parishioners added great joy and vibrancy to the event. The winners of the various events were presented with individual and group prizes in appreciation of their participation and achievement.

The Sports Day concluded on a joyful note, strengthening the bonds of friendship, unity and community among the parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
