In the 5th Adith Paulson Memorial Don Bosco Fide Rated Chess Tournament Hritikesh P.R. scored 8 out of 9 points.
Marthandan from Kerala obtained the second place and Kerala state champion Chandhar Raju bagged the third position. Winners were awarded cash awards of Rs.3 lakhs and trophies.
32 new chess players who participated in the tournament obtained international rating.
207 contestants from various parts of India participated in the tournament which consisted of 9 rounds.
Fr.Immanuel Mevada SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Institutions, Irinjalakuda distributed the prizes.
International Arbitrator Dr.M.S.Govindankutty, Adit Foundation Chairman Sri.K.T.Babu and Sri.Paulson Kallookkaran graced the occasion.
