The Principals and managers of the different higher education institutes of the sacred heart province of Bangalore came together on Saturday and Sunday, 3rd and 4th of August for two days of input sessions, planning and evaluation of higher education ministry in the province. The program organized by the higher education commission of the Province was held at the higher education leadership training Institute of Christ University, Kenkeri campus, Bangalore
Fr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, the commission head and member of the Provincial council spearheaded the proceedings. The programme explored essential concepts in strategic planning, organizational change, modern management practices, technology in education, student centred learning, and fostering a positive organizational culture. The sessions were handled by experts in leadership and management positions in Christ University. The case studies and scrutiny of failures and success stories of several institutes of higher education were unraveled before the participants by the resource persons.
Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal the provincial and Fr. Joy Nedumparambil, the economer joined the meeting on the evening of day one and for the final session on the final day. Fr. Provincial celebrated the Eucharist on the evening of the first day. On the afternoon of the second day of the meeting the members under the leadership of the commission head sat with Fr. Provincial and the Province economer to choke out action plans for the future based on the inputs received.
