Annual Retreat for Students in Don Bosco Angamaly
The annual retreat for students in grades 5 to 12 was held on August 28, 2024, at Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly. This one-day program ran from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The inaugural session was led by Mr. Sunny, who delivered an engaging talk on the topic of “Smart Students.” Mr. Roy created an inspiring atmosphere with divine action songs, setting the tone for the day. He also addressed various teen issues, helping students recognize the importance of living a life in harmony with God. The focus of his talks was on the challenges faced by today’s teens, emphasizing that disrespect and disobedience are among the greatest obstacles that can derail their lives. He provided valuable guidance on how to overcome these hurdles and lead a more fulfilling life.
A separate session was conducted for non-Christian students in the afternoon by Mr. Jijo, which was both enlightening and uplifting. This session emphasized the importance of moral values in life, with a particular focus on the concept of blessings. The talk was infused with awareness, enlightenment, and a call to inculcate strong moral values. The session concluded with adoration and a collective vow to strive toward becoming individuals of great moral character.
The day came to a close with a sense of renewed hope and a commitment among the students to cultivate a life guided by high principles.
