Assistive Devices Distributed to Empower Persons with Disabilities in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi, March 26, 2026:
A meaningful initiative to support persons with disabilities was successfully carried out at the DDRC Office, Kalaburagi, through a distribution camp organized by the Don Bosco Mobile Clinic Team.

The program, conducted with the support of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) under its CSR initiatives, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), and the District Administration of Kalaburagi, aimed to improve accessibility and independence among beneficiaries. The event was inaugurated by District Commissioner Fouzia Taranum along with district welfare representatives.

During the camp, essential assistive devices were distributed, including manual wheelchairs, electric tricycles, hearing aids, and customized prosthetic support equipment. The Mobile Clinic Team played a key role in identifying beneficiaries and ensuring the proper distribution of aids based on individual needs.

A total of six beneficiaries received support through mobility and accessibility aids, enhancing their ability to lead independent and dignified lives.

The initiative focused on removing financial barriers and enabling persons with disabilities to actively participate in social and professional environments. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the District Administration and all supporting agencies for their timely assistance.

The Don Bosco Mobile Clinic Team Kalaburagi reaffirmed its commitment to continuous follow-up, ensuring proper usage and maintenance of the distributed devices.
