ATHLON 2025: Annual Athletic Meet of Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly.
Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with immense enthusiasm and excitement on 9th and 10th October, 2025. The event commenced with a captivating welcome by the school band, setting the tone for discipline, unity, and enthusiasm.
The march past, led by the students, was impressive, followed by a welcome address by Principal Rev. Fr. James Puthenparambil. The chief guest, Mrs. Niya Scaria, hoisted the flag, and declared the event open by emphasizing the importance of perseverance and dedication in life.
The Olympic torch lighting and oath-taking ceremony were conducted with precision. PTA President Mr. Pratheesh felicitated the gathering, and a memento was presented to the chief guest by Rev. Fr. Joseph Elavanal, the Rector and Manager.
The students participated in various events, including Races, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Triple Jump, Javelin Throw, and Relay. The Relay Race was a thrilling highlight, keeping everyone engaged.
On both days, the winners were awarded medals and certificates. The valedictory function concluded on the second day, with RED HOUSE emerging as the overall champion, followed by GREEN HOUSE, BLUE HOUSE, and YELLOW HOUSE as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Abin, expressing gratitude to all involved.
