Batch Inauguration and Parent’s Meeting at Don Bosco Tech Kollam
On 14th July 2023, Don Bosco Tech Kollam witnessed a momentous occasion as the Third batch of the Cloud Application Developer domain and the 33rd batch of the CRM domain were inaugurated at the Center. The event, attended by parents and trainees, marked a significant milestone in the institution’s history. The proceedings began with a short prayer, seeking blessings from the Almighty, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Mrudhula Prasad S (Trainer-Cloud Application Developer).
The highlight of the ceremony was the presence of Smt. Prasanna Earnest, Honorable MAYOR, Kollam Municipal Cooperation, who opened the event and delivered an inspiring and motivational address to the parents and their children. She commended the Don Bosco Tech Society and the NSDC for their efforts in skill development. Smt. Prasanna Earnest encouraged the trainees to aspire to become entrepreneurs, mentioning that Kollam Cooperation has various projects and funding methods to support youth in their startup endeavors. She also expressed her concern regarding waste management, urging the attendees to explore innovative ideas to keep their surroundings clean and clear of waste.
Fr. Varghese Pynadath SDB, Vicar of St. Stephen’s Church, Thope, took the opportunity to highlight the training procedures of the Salasian institution. In his speech, he congratulated all the participants and expressed his support for their journey. Fr. C. J. Sebastian SDB, Centre Director, Don Bosco Tech Kollam, extended a warm welcome to the students and parents, emphasizing his love and concern for them. He informed the trainees about the employment opportunities available in the Kollam area and encouraged them to make the most of these prospects.
Mr. Juby Thomas, State Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech Society of Kerala, captivated the audience by narrating a story that shed light on how parents can assist their children in finding suitable employment. He also focused on creating a comfortable atmosphere for parents and trainees, ensuring their understanding and support for the program.
Furthermore, during the first parents’ meeting for the current batches, Mr. Tinu Ruben, Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech Kollam, addressed the parents of the trainees, providing an overview of the institution’s structure and emphasizing the importance of the courses. He discussed the current market conditions and highlighted opportunities that exist. Mr. Tinu Ruben emphasized the significance of parental support for successful course completion, as well as the responsibilities of both parents and the training center. He also touched upon workplace-related issues and the relationship between expected salaries and actual pay, taking market needs into account. The parents actively participated in the meeting, asking insightful questions and engaging in a productive conversation.
In conclusion, Mr. Godwin A, CRM Trainer, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the faculty members, guests, parents, trainees, and attendees for their valuable contributions to the meeting and for sharing their insightful thoughts on the course. The program put up by the students was excellent, and the event concluded on a positive note at 2:00 PM.
