Bicentenary Celebration of Don Bosco’s Dream at 9

The Don Bosco Youth Movement, Mysore Zone, organized a vibrant celebration on 17th November 2024 at Don Bosco Sreerampura to commemorate the Bicentenary of Don Bosco’s Dream. Youth from Sreerampura, Makkalalaya, JP Nagar, and Prakash Palaya came together for a day filled with Spiritual enrichment, Dynamic sessions, and cultural expression. The event commenced at 8:00 AM with the Holy Eucharist, followed by breakfast and registration. The inauguration included a prayer dance by Vedica and Co., a warm welcome by Sumanth, and inspiring messages from Fr. Uday and Fr. Freddie. The lighting of the lamp and the hymn dedicated to Don Bosco set a meaningful tone for the day. The first session, led by Fr. Mithun SDB, explored Don Bosco’s dream, followed by group dynamics and engaging discussions facilitated by Fr. Devassy SDB in the second session.

Post-lunch, Fr. Siju conducted the third session, after which the youth engaged in discussions to finalize a representative for the National Youth Meet in Chennai. The concluding cultural program showcased performances by youth from Makkalalaya, JP Nagar, Prakash Palaya, and Sreerampura, along with heartfelt sharing of experiences by a boy and girl representative. The event concluded with a hymn to Don Bosco, a group photograph, and light refreshments before departure. The celebration was a vibrant blend of spirituality, education, and camaraderie, leaving the youth inspired and connected with the legacy of Don Bosco.
