Blessings Abound: Celebrating the Grotto Feast at Don Bosco KGF

The community of Don Bosco KGF is blessed with a beautiful Grotto of Our Lady. Annually a day is specially dedicated to honour Our Blessed Mother by celebrating the feast of the Grotto, together with the neighbouring population of Irudayapuram. The local youth, under the guidance of Fr Dominic Savio, took the lead in organizing this year’s celebrations in a splendid manner. Despite the inclement weather, the event brought together nearly 150 people including non-catholics. The celebration commenced with the Rosary procession, carrying the beautifully decorated statue of Our Lady through the streets of Irudayapuram in a solemn and devout manner. The participants braved the incessant rain and joined in praying, singinging and offering homage to the Bl. Mother. The procession was followed by a solemn Eucharistic celebration in the auditorium, instead of at the Grotto on account of the weather condition. Fr K. V. Sebastian, the parish priest of Susaipalayam, presided with the priests from the community concelebrating. A warm, delicious fellowship meal after the Holy Eucharist concluded the celebrations. The devout Marian procession, solemn Holy Eucharist and fraternal agape offered a memorable and spiritually elevating experience to everyone who participated in it.
