Blood Donation Camp Promotes the Spirit of Humanity at Don Bosco Bidar
Bidar, October 9:In a remarkable gesture of service and compassion, Don Bosco Bidar Mobile Clinic Team, in collaboration with the District Health Department, organized a Blood Donation Camp on October 9, 2025. The event brought together community members, health workers, and well-wishers from over 30 surrounding villages, uniting for the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation.The program was graced by the presence of Fr. Clary D’Souza, Dean of the Bidar Deanery; Fr. Praveen, Principal of Don Bosco ICSE School; Fr. Mathew, Administrator of Don Bosco Bidar; and Mr. Shivanand Hiremath, Health Inspector from Janwada PHC, along with Anganwadi and ASHA workers.In his address, Mr. Shivanand Hiremath emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation, explaining the different blood groups and how every drop of blood can make a difference in saving lives. Fr. Praveen, in his message, highlighted that “blood cannot be manufactured in factories; it can only come from generous hearts willing to share life with others.” He encouraged everyone to view blood donation as a sacred act of love, especially during emergencies and accidents.The Don Bosco Mobile Clinic Team coordinated the event with remarkable efficiency, mobilizing participants from villages where they regularly conduct health awareness programs. Their dedicated efforts resulted in an inspiring response — 40 individuals came forward to donate blood selflessly in the spirit of humanity and solidarity.Participants were treated to lunch, fruits, and fruit juice as a token of appreciation. The organizing team expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fr. P.S. George, Director of BREADS Bangalore, and his entire team for their continuous support and encouragement in promoting health and social outreach initiatives across rural Bidar.This initiative once again reflected Don Bosco Bidar’s enduring commitment to the holistic welfare of the community, fostering awareness, compassion, and the value of giving life through service.
