Bosco Cup 2025: A Day of Cricket, Camaraderie, and Celebration at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mullakkara

2025 Report: Bosco Cup Cricket Tournament 2025 The Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mullakkara organized the much-awaited Bosco Cup Cricket Tournament on 12 October 2025 at the Don Bosco Grounds, Mullakkara. A total of eight spirited teams took part in the thrilling 8-over format competition, which turned out to be a day filled with passion, energy, and sportsmanship. The tournament was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Joyce SDB, Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Mullakkara. The event was also graced by Fr. Austin, Director of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mullakkara; Fr. Binny, Administrator of Don Bosco Mullakkara; and Fr. Rubin Mathew, Director of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Ollukkara. During the inauguration, the youth centre members also took a joyful moment to celebrate the birthday of Fr. Joyce, which had been just two days earlier, on 10 October 2025.
A cake was cut to mark the occasion, expressing the community’s affection, gratitude, and best wishes to him. The matches began at 9:00 a.m. and continued with great enthusiasm till 5:30 p.m. The tournament witnessed many exciting encounters and moments of pure cricketing joy. After a series of competitive matches, Team Blasters, Puthur emerged as the champions, while our own Don Bosco Youth Centre, Mullakkara team secured the Runner-up position, winning a cash prize of ₹4,000. In recognition of individual brilliance, Man of the Match trophies were awarded for each game, along with special awards for the Best Bowler, Best Batter, and Best Fielder of the tournament. The Bosco Cup 2025 concluded with cheers, smiles, and a renewed sense of unity and brotherhood among all participants. The event truly reflected the spirit of Don Bosco.
