‘BREADS’ Launches Dream- Drug rehabilitation education and mentoring project
Official launching of DREAM project by BREADS Bangalore took place in Don Bosco, Vaduthala at 10.30 this morning. DREAM project is launched with an aim to raise awareness among the youngsters and the children about the consequences of drug abuse.
Mr. Nelson, Joint Excise Commissioner of Crime Branch, Ernakulam inaugurated the launching ceremony. He in his inaugural address stressed on the need of building healthy families to prevent drug abuse among children.
Fr.Jose koyockal, Provincial of Salesian province of Bangalore delivered the presidential address. He emphasized on the fact that the Salesians are at the forefront of working for the well being of children in vulnerable situation. ‘Today the greatest pandemic is drug abuse. We have to join hands with the government to eradicate this pandemic’ said Fr.Koyockal. Fr.Koyickal released the logo of DREAM.
Fr.Rubin Mathew, Executive Director of BREADS, Bangalore delivered the keynote address. Fr.Joy Nedumparambil, the economer, Fr.Shibu Davis, Rector of Don Bosco, Vaduthala and Mr.V.V.Praveen, ward councilor spoke on the occasion. Ward councilors Mrs.Minna and Mrs. Bidumani graced the occasion. Fr.Binu Scaria, Project director of DREAM delivered the welcome speech and Mr. Shibin Shaji Varghese, district coordinator of DREAM, Ernakulam delivered the vote of thanks.
