Career Guidance Event Empowers Students at Don Bosco Vidyakshetra

A career guidance event was held at Don Bosco Vidyakshetra, Prakashpalya, on the 21st of September, primarily aimed at students from 10th grade, 1st PUC, and 2nd PUC. The event was organized with the purpose of helping students navigate their future academic and career paths, offering them a comprehensive understanding of various fields and opportunities available after completing their pre-university education.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Xavier and Mr. Walter, the manager of Mount Shepard College, Bengaluru, who were the chief guests. Mr. Xavier, with his vast experience in educational and career counseling, delivered an insightful keynote speech that highlighted the importance of choosing the right career path based on one’s interests and abilities. Mr. Walter also contributed significantly by discussing the various courses and streams available at the pre-university and degree levels, elaborating on the job prospects and career growth in different sectors.

The event was supported by students from Mount Shepard College, including Rekha and Cristal Pinto, who actively helped in managing the event and interacting with the participants. Their involvement provided a practical perspective to the younger students, as they shared their own experiences in making academic and career decisions. Rekha and Cristal also participated in informal Q&A sessions, where they answered queries from the attendees and provided advice on how to deal with academic pressure and plan for the future.
