Catechism Centre Opened at St Francis Xavier’s Church Attuvassery.

Marking a significant step forward in the faith journey of St. Xavier’s Church and the entire Attuvassery community, a Catechism Centre at St Francis Xavier’s Church, Attuvassery, was blessed and inaugurated on Sunday, 26 January. Rt. Rev. Dr Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur, blessed the hall, and Father Jose Thomas Koyickal SDB, Provincial of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore, inaugurated it. Father Shalbin Kalanchery SDB, Vice Provincial, Father Joy Nedumparambil SDB, Economer, Father Varghese Koottungal SDB, Councillor for Parishes and Mission, and Father Thomas Meckaden SDB, Parish Priest, were also present.

Bishop Ponnumuthan highlighted the importance of unity, love, and prayer, emphasizing the Church’s ongoing mission to serve humanity with compassion and humility. He appreciated the Salesians’ efforts in building the faith community at Attuvassery.

Father Provincial reminded the faithful to grow in unity and strive for the parish’s development. The bishop and Father Provincial honoured Mr. Malcom, the Contractor. The Assistant Parish Priest Father Bince Kannukettiyil SDB proposed the Vote of Thanks.
