Deep Reflection and sharing marks Day 2 of PC XVI of the province
The second day of PC XVI was a day of intense reflection and sharing. The day began with the holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Joy Nedumparambil SDB, the Economer of the Salesian province of Bangalore. Highlighting the need to be protectors and people who care for our planet as we celebrate the Earth Day he invited the Salesians to be in the forefront of the at the forefront of protecting our God given home. The sessions began with a meaningful opening prayer with the enthronement of the word of God and reading both from the Word of God and the Salesian Constitutions. A beautiful Kannada song composed and presented by Rev. Fr. Jude Anand SDB on the theme of the Provincial Chapter was much appreciated by the members. After the reading of the minutes of the previous day and the roll call, the members proceeded into the presentation of the various themes of the working Document. These presentations and the discussions that ensued proved to be truly insightful and presented a truly prophetic face of the province. The dicussions which panned through the day continued till late in the evening. Fr. Augusty SDB addressed the members of the chapter during the good night highlighting the progress, challenges and the way forward in the Salesian mission in Nepal. The second day proved to be truly fruitful in the discussions that were witnessed and promises to usher in renewal and reinvigoration in the life and mission of the province.
