District Level Launch of DREAM Project at DBSB Palluruthy

Mr.Babu, MLA launched the DREAM project and inaugurated DREAM Services at Don Bosco, Palluruthy. In his inaugural speech he said that Drug Rehabilitation, Education and Mentoring are the need of the hour. He exhorted all the students that ‘Addiction to Life not to Drugs’ (a project govt. had launched when he was the excise minister) should be our Maxim in life.

“Walkathon” by NCC cadets of Acquinas College to create awareness regarding the negative &harmful effects of Drug Abuse was the highlight of the District level launching of DREAM project of Ernakulum district.

At the ensuing programme at Don Bosco Palluruthy, Fr.PD Thomas, Rector and District Director of DREAM delivered the welcome speech. He also said that drug addiction has become a problem not just among youth but even among primary school children.

Mr. V.A Sreejith (Standing committee chairman-Education & Sports, Kochi Corporation) presided over the meeting. Shri. Vishnu Raj IAS, Collector of Ernakulam was the chief guest. Mr.Anikumar (Preventive Officer, Excise), Lt.Dr Joseph John (Chief Convener- NCC unit, Aquinas College) were also present.

Mr.Anoopraj (State Coordinator, DREAM) led everyone to take Oath Against Drugs. Mr.Shibin Shaji (DistrictCoordinator, DREAM) thanked the gathering.
