Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly Hosts Spectacular Annual Athletic Meet 2024

Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly celebrated their Annual Athletic Meet on 1 & 2November, 2024. The D-day commenced with a wonderful march past by our school students from all the four Houses, welcoming the Chief Guest. The Music Academy came out with a spectacular display of their talents in the display dance. It was really colourful to see it. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Paul PP, an eminent sports coach, whose students have achieved National & state level awards. In his inspiring speech, he emphasized the need of sports in the curriculum, which provides lucrative job offers and a disciplined mind.

There was a torch rally by the champions of our school. It was indeed a moment of great pride and jubilation to see the winners at the national and state Level passing on the torch flame. As it passed on, the audience was mesmerized to see it. The main torch flame was lit and the sports meet was declared open by the Chief Guest.

The exciting events of the day were relay which raced the heart of the audience. Discus throw which brought out young female participants as capable as any Olympic participant. The long jump of boys blew everybody’s mind with an indelible record of highest score. The athletics soared the enthusiasm of students.

The second day concluded with relay of super senior girl sand javelin throw of boys. The kiddies section performed well in ball throwing, standing jump & athletics. The prizes were distributed by Vice-rector Fr. Prince Puthanangady. The sun set with audience mesmerizing the day’s event.
