Don Bosco Central School Kattappana Launches Prophylaxis Preventive Health Program
Don Bosco Central School, Kattappana, in collaboration with Tech Avant-Garde (TAG), Carte Blanche Registered Schools, and Fischer Medical Ventures, has launched the Prophylaxis Preventive Health Program, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing the physical and mental well-being of students, teachers, parents, and the broader community. This innovative program addresses health needs through a range of preventive measures and proactive services, ensuring a healthier and more supportive educational environment.
The program is designed to provide comprehensive support, including health education, regular screenings, mental health resources, and telemedicine services. Dedicated health kiosks in schools will facilitate regular check-ups for vision, hearing, dental, and general health, enabling early detection and intervention. A particular emphasis is placed on adolescent health, offering guidance and support to help students navigate physical and emotional challenges during their formative years. Mental health is another critical focus, with counseling kiosks, stress management workshops, and mindfulness activities providing essential resources for students to thrive.
The program’s benefits extend beyond students, encompassing teachers, parents, and the wider community. Teachers will have access to regular health check-ups, mental health resources, and professional development opportunities, ensuring a positive teaching environment. Parents will be offered workshops and resources on preventive health measures, while the community will benefit from public health awareness campaigns and outreach programs.
The launch of this program has been met with enthusiasm from key stakeholders. Fr. Varghese Thannipara SDD, Manager of Don Bosco Central School, emphasized the initiative’s holistic approach, stating, “This program represents a vital step towards creating a supportive and healthy learning environment for everyone in our community.” Ali Sait, CEO of Tech Avant-Garde, highlighted the importance of integrating health with education, noting, “The Prophylaxis Preventive Health Program exemplifies our commitment to transforming education by addressing the health needs of students and the community.”
