Don Bosco Chitradurga Students Visit Vidhana Soudha
The Social Science & Child Rights Club students under the leadership of Mr. Seetharam Reddy had the opportunity to visit the iconic Vidhana Soudha, the legislative building of Karnataka on August 7th. The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with an insightful and educational experience about the functioning of the government, architecture, and history of this significant landmark.
Vidhana Soudha, located in Bangalore City, is an architectural marvel and the seat of the State Legislature, the building stands as a symbol of democracy and governance.
The students were given a guided tour of the Vidhana Soudha, during which they were taken through various chambers, including the Legislative Assembly and Council, as well as the Speaker’s chamber and the Governor’s office. The guide explained the roles and functions of these chambers in the legislative process.
The students learned about the historical significance of the Vidhana Soudha and its role in shaping the state’s governance and policies. They were also briefed about key events that took place within the premises. The students engaged in interactive sessions with knowledgeable guides and officials, who answered their questions about the legislative process, the role of elected representatives, and the functioning of the government.
