Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, Launches SIGHT, an NGO Dedicated to Empowering Marginalized Communities
On 18 October 2024, Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, took a significant step towards community outreach and service-learning with the inauguration of SIGHT (Social Initiatives for Growth, Hope, and Transformation), an NGO established as an extension wing of the college. Rev. Fr. Fabio Attard graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally launched SIGHT, marking a new chapter in the college’s commitment to social responsibility.
SIGHT aims to empower marginalized communities, particularly the tribal population, through holistic development programs. The NGO will work closely with the Department of Social Work to address critical social issues, mobilize resources, and collaborate with various organizations to implement impactful development interventions.
SIGHT stands committed to counseling, skill development, and active involvement in the development of marginalized groups. The NGO’s logo, unveiled today, symbolizes the launch of a movement toward growth, hope, and transformation for all. The college community looks forward to working together to make a positive impact on the lives of marginalized communities.
