Don Bosco IMAGE Vennala and KAPS Ernakulam Chapter organizes “Meet the Social Activist” Program featuring Daya Bhai
Kerala Association of Professional Social Workers (KAPS) Ernakulam Chapter and Don Bosco Vennala jointly organized the “Meet the Social Activist” program, featuring Daya Bai as the chief guest, who brought with her years of volunteer experience. She interacted with college students. Students and teachers from the Social Work departments of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, Bharata Mata College of Commerce and Arts, Choondy, and Bharata Mata College, Thrikkakara, participated in the event.
Father Sojan Panachikkal SDB, the administrator of Don Bosco Cultural Centre and the joint secretary of KAPS Ernakulam Chapter, welcomed everyone to the event. Father Varghese Koottungal SDB, the rector and manager of the Cultural Centre, delivered the presidential address.
Following this, Dr. Anil John, the secretary of KAPS Ernakulam Chapter and a faculty member in the Social Work department of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, and Aravind V.P., a faculty member in the Social Work department of Bharata Mata College of Commerce and Arts, Choondy, extended their greetings and spoke.
Daya Bai then delivered a speech in which she shared her life experiences and performed a solo play about the endosulfan victims of Kasaragod. The trailer of the Hindi movie “Daya Bai,” based on her life, was also screened at the event.
